Before you call for service, check these simple items first:

* Is the thermostat set to the cool or heat position?

* Are the breakers and disconnects turned on and/or are the fuses okay? Please be careful whenever you are working around electrical lines, and please skip this step if you are uncomfortable doing so.

* Does your air filter need to be replaced or cleaned?

Also, remember some units have up to an 8 minute delay. So give your air conditioner ample time to start up. If you still do not feel comfortable air coming from your vents please call us at (480) 649-0000.

Helpful tips for better comfort and efficiency:

* Clean or replace your filters frequently. Dirty filters will lower the performance and efficiency of your cooling and heating system, increasing your utility bill and could possibly cause damage to your system.

* Don’t turn your air conditioning system off unless you are leaving town for a considerable amount of time. When you are away, your home will soak up the heat and become more difficult to cool, so it is best to adjust your thermostat 2-4 degrees higher than your normal comfort level. This also applies to your heating system. If you have a programmable thermostat, be sure not to exceed a 2 to 4 degree setback temperature as well.

Have a licensed, bonded and insured company you can trust, and are comfortable with, check your system. Unlike most consumer appliances that don’t need much maintenance, air conditioning and heating systems should be cleaned and checked every heating and cooling season, and at the minimum annually. This will help keep your unit running efficiently and the performance at top level, which will extend the life of your equipment.
